BETHESDA, Md. — Allpoint Network says it is now the first surcharge-free ATM network in the United States to offer iPhone and Android applications for ATM locating. Allpoint has 37,000 surcharge-free ATMs in its network.
Allpoint is working with New York-based LocatorSearch, which provides the financial services industry with search tools for branch, ATM or shared branch location finders. MobileLocator and SpeechLocator make the same data available on mobile devices and speech applications.
According to a news release, the mobile Web-friendly locator applications join a suite of other services Allpoint is launching, including a 24-hour speech phone system and GPS download functionality for Allpoint Web site searches. The locator is complimentary to Allpoint cardholders.
Allpoint is an affiliate of Cardtronics Inc., the world's largest independent ATM deployer.
