In the financial space, the United States often trails Europe and many of the world's developing markets. The advent of mobile banking, automated ATM deposits, self-service cash recycling and wireless ATM connectivity have all blossomed in markets outside the United States.

But U.S. financial institutions can toot their own horns for something — setting the pace for personalization and CRM at the ATM.

Here, Aravinda Korala, the chief exeuctive of multivendor software provider KAL, tells ATM Marketplace the United States is leaps and bounds ahead of Europe and Asia in the CRM arena.
