American Banker: Diebold Inc. issued a security patch for its Opteva ATMs after criminals installed malicious software on some machines in Russia. Diebold spokeswoman DeAnn Zackeroff said, "The incident was a low-tech break-in to the ATM, but they had a high-tech knowledge of how to install the virus."
