As competition steepens, those who provide solutions to the financial industry are frantically carving out their niches to gain or retain share of markets increasingly watching their bottom lines.
That competition and quest for a niche are pushing ATM manufacturers to broaden their horizons and offer more inclusive and comprehensive solutions. From ATM and other self-service hardware to enterprise-management and integrated software solutions, the big three — NCR Corp., Wincor Nixdorf AG, and Diebold Inc. — in ATMs have bulked their offerings to include more bundled services for banks and credit unions.
For Wincor Nixdorf, a more comprehensive approach to solutions and service, especially in the United States, has helped the company become a more viable ATM competitor on a global scale with NCR and Diebold over the last couple of years.
