Community banks in N.M. waive ATM fees for unemployed

KRQE-TV, Channel 13 (Albuquerque, N.M.): Some New Mexico banks have agreed to waive the ATM fees on unemployment debit cards. The Independent Community Bankers Association, which represents local banks throughout the state, said it will no longer charge the fees for use of the cards in their ATMs. Bank of America — which actually issues the debit cards — may still charge its fees.
