NCR reports 1Q loss, lowers '09 outlook

RTTNews: NCR Corp. on Thursday reported a first quarter net loss of $15 million, negative 9 cents per share — the effect, the company says, of the downturn in the global economy, especially in the retail space. The company also cut its earnings estimate for the full year. During the first quarter of last year, NCR posted net income of $48 million, 28 cents per share. Revenue for the quarter also dropped, dipping 15 percent to $1.01 billion from $1.18 billion in 1Q '08.
