Netpractise to demonstrate HSBC â€˜Info TV' digital signage platform at Screen Media Expo

LONDON — Netpractise, a multimedia systems design and integration company, will be demonstrating its Digital ProMedia (DPM) digital signage platform at Screen Media Expo 2009 April 7-8, 2009. Netpractise is seeing widespread interest for its DPM platform following its use at the centre of the design and implementation of a highly successful corporate communications â€˜Info TV' digital signage solution for HSBC at its Canary Wharf, London headquarters. Visitors to the Netpractise stand will be able to view a demonstration of the DPM platform and find out how it forms such an effective multi-media communications hub for HSBC. In this install, Netpracise's DPM delivers content to a central 108-square-foot Orion video wall, a second large video wall in the bank's dealing room and some 20 NEC LCD screens around the Canary Wharf headquarters building. All content shown on the screen, whether it be HD video, live TV, or video conferencing, is scheduled using the DPM digital signage platform. The solution also allows for user interaction, with the giant video wall controllable from a simple tracker ball, so visitors can navigate the screen to find relevant content. Netpractise deployed its own DPM digital signage platform to control the content on all screens. Netpractise's DPM enables delivery of content across a Wide Area Network (WAN) with total accuracy through the use of advanced transmission technology which guarantees that dynamic content schedules are delivered on time, to the correct screen(s), anywhere in the world if necessary. All content shown on the screen, whether it be HD video, live TV, or video conferencing, is scheduled using the DPM digital signage platform. The experience is further enhanced by the use of 7.1 channel surround sound Dolby audio. Netpractise is partnered with SCC which was the lead contractor for this project.
