CARROLLTON, Texas — Tidel Engineering LP is shipping a new low-capacity note dispenser that supports four currency denominations from most countries. Each canister holds 500 notes, offering a total note capacity of 2,000 notes.
According to a news release, the new dispenser peripheral is designed for filling a large number of till drawers or for check cashing, debit-card cash back, payday loans and many other high-volume note applications — complementing Tidel's larger version, high-capacity note dispenser, which supports four denominations at 1,500 notes per canister.
"Due to the modularity of the Tidel Sentinel family, the low-capacity note dispenser will attach to any other combination of Sentinel peripherals," said Ed Grondahl, Tidel's senior vice president of global sales. "You could configure a single or dual bulk-note validator with a bulk coin dispenser and a low-capacity note dispenser. If the retailer has a larger format store, they can configure the high-capacity note dispenser instead. The Sentinel family can be configured in more than 100 combinations of hardware to fit the customer's needs."
