Elan Financial Services' surcharge-free ATM network, MoneyPass, just launched an ATM-locator application for the iPhone. Elan is owned by U.S. Bank. The new application is free for iPhone users and can be downloaded at the iPhone App Store.
According to a news release issued by the company, MoneyPass worked with LocatorSearch, provider of locator and search tools for the financial services industry, to develop the application as an enhanced service for MoneyPass cardholders who use iPhones.
Financial institutions that participate in the MoneyPass network can promote the app to their cardholders.
Doug Miraglia, president of MoneyPass, says the network is excited about the new offer:
The iPhone locator application simply reinforces the convenience and value that is the hallmark of the MoneyPass network. Cardholders can now easily locate the most accessible MoneyPass ATM so they can withdraw funds without paying a surcharge, a service they both expect and appreciate.
MoneyPass has more 16,000 ATMs, more than 36 million cardholders and more than 1,100 participants.
