Talaris has announced the release of its first Check 21 solution, Pronto, which offers branch and remote deposit capture capabilities for banks, credit unions and retailers. The announcement was made during BAI's Retail Delivery Conference & Expo in Boston this week.
According to a news release from Talaris, the product directly and securely transmits and clears checks with the Federal Reserve, thereby increasing the speed and efficiency of check processing.
Talaris says Pronto will be offered as a stand-alone check processing solution and as an integrated solution Talaris' teller cash recycler, Vertera.

"With Pronto, we continue this legacy by coupling premier check capture technology with processing capabilities that make Check 21 simpler than ever before."
Pronto is a counter-top solution that is designed for office or teller-line applications, the solution boasts a "plug-and-play" set-up process and easy-to-use interface. As a result, Pronto can be installed in branches and retail locations in just a few hours, with the accuracy and cost-saving benefits of Check 21 realized within two days.
"Our goal was to simplify check processing, making it fast and easy for financial institutions and retailers to realize the benefits of Check 21 without significant technology integrations and additional hardware," Reagan said.
