Leiden, Netherlands-based Collis has announced that Aspects Tools Ltd., based in Edinburgh, Scotland, is now a fully integrated entity of Collis. According to a news release from Collis, Aspects Tools has been renamed Collis Great Britain Ltd.
"We see in the market more and more synergy between payment and mobile parties," said Berend van Geffen, chief commercial officer for Collis. "This cooperation is fuelled by a number of developments, among them NFC (near-field communications). We feel the time is right to position ourselves as the ultimate solution provider for the payment, mobile, telecom and transport markets."
In 2006, Collis acquired Aspects, but Aspects continued to operate under its own name. The Aspects brand will continue to be used in the Collis product portfolio, meaning products developed for the mobile market will include the Aspects brand name. A wider range of consulting and training services are also available as a result of the companies' integration.
"The formal name of Aspects Tools may have changed, but the people — their (consulting) skills, their services and their products (test tools) — continue," said Collis CEO Dirk Jan van den Heuvel.
