GRG Banking Equipment Co. Ltd. will demonstrate its N series ATM line during next week's ATM Industry Association conference in Miami. Brian Kett, head of North American operations for GRG Banking, says the Miami event marks the first time the N series will be shown at a "formal" ATM event in North America.
"Several of the N series ATMs are now installed here (in the United States)," Kett wrote in an e-mail. "Several are in showrooms and have been paraded around to various clients, but other than situations where multiple clients have been invited in to see these units, or at some recent small credit union events, this is really will be the first time that we are openly showing one of the newly designed products on this side of the Pacific."
The H22N ATM is GRG's smallest in the N series ATM lineup. The newly designed H22N is a through-the-wall ATM that comes standard with a 15-inch display and 10.4-inch touchscreen service panel. It can hold up to 12,000 notes, comes equipped with an 80 MM printer and offers a 4 X 4 numeric tactile keypad.
The H22N has been in production since the end of last year and recently received processor certification in the United States.
The E300L vaulted ATM also will be on display. It comes equipped with a 23-inch video topper, a Windows XP OS and can run NCR's NDC or Diebold's 911/912 communications emulations.
"This is the unit of choice that is going into major retail locations," Kett said. "(It's) often bank branded, because it can run the bank's same screen sets and fits seamlessly with the rest of their installed network, whether they have been running NCR, Diebold, Wincor, etc."
What won't be displayed at the U.S. event are GRG's full-function ATMs with check imaging and/or cash recycling features, as well as the company's H46N ATM, which is an island unit.
