Credit Union 24, the country's largest credit union-owned ATM and point-of-sale network, says it added 45 credit unions to its network during 2009.
According to a news release from CU 24, those additional credit unions represent (collectively) $4.9 billion in assets and more than 620,000 members across 19 states.
"Credit Union 24 experienced a successful 2009 as credit unions recognized the added value they receive through participant ownership of our network and exceptional relationship management," said Jim Park, president and CEO of the network. "Credit unions have been seeking out alternatives for ATM and POS services as the economy has evolved, and Credit Union 24 has been able to provide credit unions with the cost-effective, customized services they need to help maintain a healthy bottom line and exceptional member service."
