First Data Corp. has named Steve Boehm as senior vice president, to lead global product management and innovation for First Data's Financial Services division.
"Steve brings a wealth of financial services industry knowledge and experience that will be invaluable and relevant for our financial institution customers," said Kevin Schultz, president of First Data Financial Services. "Steve and his team will drive product direction for both new and existing products across First Data to support our goal of providing high-value transaction processing and account management services to financial institutions around the world." Boehm most recently was co-leader of the Wells Fargo/Wachovia integration team at Wachovia. Prior to that, he held various leadership roles during a 17-year career at Wachovia, including president of card and payment solutions, general manager of Wachovia Director Access, and chief operating officer of the Customer Direct Access division. Previously, Boehm led member relations for the western United States for Visa USA, ran financial-services product management for the American Automobile Association, and acted as COO of the credit card business at First Virginia Bank.
He holds a bachelor's degree from James Madison University and an MBA from George Mason University.
