According to a press release, ATM wholesaler ATMequipment.com has created a new business entity, OptConnect, which focuses exclusively on the growing wireless needs of ATM operators and has a line of wireless gateway products.

"Everything — technology, the wireless industry, reduction in costs — has aligned itself well for the ATM industry to benefit from converting landlines to wireless communications," said Burt Matthews, OptConnect president. "We feel the time is right for us to devote resources solely to serving this growing segment in the ATM industry throughout North America."
