Cardtronics Inc. has signed an ATM branding agreement with a San Antonio-based credit union.
The Houston-based ATM independent sales organization will place Firstmark's brand on three Cardtronics ATMs deployed in Costco Inc. warehouse stores in San Antonio. Firstmark's name will appear on the machines' exteriors and the credit union's customized messages will appear on the ATM screens.
"Firstmark is excited to provide increased flexibility and accessibility to meet the cash needs of our members by making Firstmark-branded ATMs available in all three San Antonio-area Costco warehouses," said Fred Hagerman, the credit union's chief marketing officer. Firstmark has 92,000 members. Cardtronics and Firstmark announced the deal July 14.
Firstmark also has extended its existing contract with Allpoint, the surcharge-free ATM network that Cardtronics owns. Allpoint, the nation's largest surcharge-free ATM network with more than 37,000 machines, is based in Bethesda, Md.
Cardtronics is the world's largest non-bank owner of ATMs with 33,700 machines deployed in the United States, United Kingdom, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
