GRG Banking Equipment Co., Ltd. recently celebrated its 11th year in business as China's largest ATM supplier to the country's financial institutions.
GRG, which is based in Guangzhou, China, shipped 12,000 ATMs in 2009. According to China Financial News, GRG last year controlled 22 percent of China's ATM market share compared with NCR Corp.'s 19 percent, Hitachi Corp.'s 15 percent, Wincor Nixdorf's 12 percent and Diebold Inc.'s 11 percent.
China is the world's second-largest ATM market behind the United States, according to Retail Banking Research, a London-based strategic marketing firm.
"Based on the global presence of GRG products and service networks, with offices and branches in North America, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and Hong Kong, GRG is growing rapidly and ready to face the world," said Eduardas Vaigauskas, general manager of GRGBanking Equipment (HK) Co., Ltd., the subsidiary of GRGBanking Equipment Co., Ltd.
The company employs more than 3,000 associates, and the business operates a 364,500 square-foot complex that includes research and development, manufacturing, sales and service.
