About us

WaterMark Group, the original owner of ATMmagazine.com, was founded in 1995 by Alan Fryrear as a business forms and graphic design distributor. In 1996, Fryrear hired Tom Harper to head up the company's new ATM supply division and build a national product catalog.

In 1997 Harper, senior vice president for WaterMark Group, co-founded the ATM Industry Association (ATMIA). The association's first conference, "Winning with Off-Premises ATMs," was held in Orlando, Fla., in February 2000. ATMIA is now an international organization with chapters all over the world.

Fryrear and Harper created ATMmagazine.com in May 1998. Today known as ATMmarketplace.com, the site is the global ATM industry's leading online trade publication.

In November 1999, WaterMark Group was named a winner in Inc. magazine's "Best of the Small-business Web" contest. Soon Fryrear and Harper began planning the launch of new websites that would focus on complementary industries, such as the kiosk and self-service markets.

Dick Good joined the team as chief executive. Good led a private offering that prepared the parent company, NetWorld Alliance, for growth into new industries. Under Good's guidance, NetWorld has added websites focused on self-service, retail, digital signage, church leadership, fast-casual dining, pizza and quick-service restaurants. NetWorld's online properties now include ATMmarketplace.com, KioskMarketplace.com, SelfServiceWorld.com, RetailCustomerExperience.com, DigitalSignageToday.com, PizzaMarketplace.com, FastCasual.com and QSRWeb.com.

NetWorld's officers include Alan Fryrear, chairman; Dick Good, CEO; Tom Harper, president; and Andrew Davis.
